	Woody Nook winery is well positioned in the Northern part of Margaret River, with an impressive array of fine wines. Woody Nook is a genuine boutique winery, producing only 5,000 cases a year. It is family-owned and run, unpretentious and small, but proud of the critical acclaim second generation winemaker and viticulturist Neil Gallagher consistently receives. In the past decade his wines have won more than 150 awards, including 23 Gold and 44 Silver Medals. Woody Nook wines may be found in fine restaurants and wine shops, especially in North Carolina and Georgia.

Silver Medal San Francisco International Wine Competition Bronze Royal Melbourne Wine Show 2004

This magnificent, full-bodied wine is complex, with a nose which conveys an abundance of chocolate and blackcurrant with a hint of oriental spices. The palate is well-balanced with sweet fruit up front and soft mouth-filling tannins, which contribute great lengths to the rich flavors. A wonderful accompaniment to beef.

Silver Innovest Margaret River Wine Show (Best In Class) 2004 Silver Atlanta Wine Summit 2005

Exhibits a tinge of violets and spicy white pepper characteristics on the nose, which carry over to the palate, enhanced by fresh dark berry fruits and sweet vanillin oak. Enjoy now or be really rewarded by cellaring for a further 5-6 years. Especially wonderful served with lamb.

An intense varietal nose leads to a delicate and elegant palate. There is good continuation of fruit flavor on the finish, which is fresh and crisp. Enjoy by itself or with seafood, pasta or light meat dishes.

This Chenin Blanc, which has been top of its class for the past five years at the Perth Royal Wine Show, has just a hint of sweetness. There are tropical fruits on the palate, with a honeyed smoothness and a refreshingly dry finish. Enjoy by itself or as an ideal accompaniment to a curry or any other Asian dish. It is an excellent luncheon wine.

Velvet Rose
14.0% Alcohol

Each year Woody Nook’s second generation winemaker, Neil Gallagher, makes Velvet Rose using different grapes. The one presented here is a blend of 65% Chenin Blanc and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon. It is slightly sweet.

This rosé wine has an abundance of luscious berry flavors, with an aromatic nose and a finish of lingering velvety smoothness. Whether served at room temperature during the winter months or well chilled on hot summer days and nights, it is equally delightful.
