Vasse River Wines is located in the Vasse-Carbanup area, a northern part of the Margaret River region. The first vine plantings were established in 1988 in rich gravely loam soils, producing fruit of exceptional quality. The winery produces both the Vasse River and Beach Head wines that complement any meal or special occasion.
Their wines may be found in fine restaurants and wine shops.
The Shiraz highlights characters of cherries and rich chocolate on the palate, followed by a licorice and vanilla bean finish. A wonderful year for both the Cabernet and Merlot varieties in the vineyard. A dark bright red berry color with aromas of blackcurrant, wild blackberry and mulberries. A hint of chocolate and smokey bacon characters linger on the palate. A rich full bodied wine, it is well integrated with oak and the tannins are refined and well balanced.

This crisp wine shows characters of fig, honey and gooseberries with the added effect of kiwi fruit and a spicy finish to follow through the palate. A medium bodied wine with good balance, this wine displays well developed characters from the Semillon variety.

The oak is well integrated and adds weight to the wine. A clean and smooth finish allows the wine to end on the palate long and full.

The oak is well integrated and adds weight to the wine. A clean and smooth finish allows the wine to end on the palate long and full.
Colour consists of a pale yellow with soft lemon hues with aromas of fresh cut roses and aromatic bath salts. On the palate hints of green apple and refreshing lemon sherbet and this wine shows a generous glycerol viscosity with a delicate mineral acidity.
Winemaker suggested accompaniment with food; seared scallops or a seafood chowder.
