MRW is streamlining its brands and wines to provide our customers with better focus, support, and availability going forward. We want to bring you the very best wines in terms of quality and value, and can better provide these to our customers by reducing the number of wines and brands that we actively carry. Effective immediately we will no longer be offering wines from Edwards, Driftwood Estates or Tuart Street.
Our portfolio now consists of great wines from Vasse River, Beach Head, Woody Nook, Merops and Wills Domain. We will also be adding a great Margaret River Riesling from a new winery later this year, to complete our active range. These brands provide excellent value across many retail price points. We look forward to serving our customers with these great brands and wines in the future.

Thanks to everyone in Houston and Austin Texas the past few weeks! We enjoyed pouring our Vasse River and Beach Head wines for you, especially at the SXSW Music Festival’s Aussie BBQ on March 14 in Austin. In early May we will have our true-blood Aussie David Lands visiting our customers in Texas, to share some more of these great wines with you.

Join us on April 30 in Bowdoinham, Maine, to taste through our Vasse River and Wills Domain wines near Portland. We will be participating in the day-long presentation of wines at the DaVine Wine Selections offices there. This is a great chance for retailers and restaurants in the Portland ME area to try our great wines. We hope to see you there!

For those of you in the Charlotte NC area, you can now find our Beach Head wines at many of the local Harris Teeter stores at a lower price than last year. Check them out, they are a great value for premium Margaret River wines. If you don’t see them on the Australian shelf or stacked in the wine section, ask them to get some in for you. They are carrying all five of the Beach Head wines – Shiraz, Cab Merlot, Chardonnay, Semillon Sauvignon Blanc and Sunset Rosé. You may see us at one of the Harris Teeter stores pouring our wines, please come by and say hello.

For those of you in the Austin Texas area, or who will be attending the upcoming South By Southwest Music Festival, you will be able to enjoy our Beach Head wines at two of the main events. At the Opening Night Party on the evening of March 12 at the Firehouse Lounge, 605 Brazos in Austin, you can enjoy four of our Beach Head wines. At the Aussie BBQ on Friday March 14 you can enjoy the Beach Head Shiraz, Chardonnay and Sunset Rosé wines. Margaret River Wines is pleased to be a primary supplier of wines to these events, hosted by Wine Australia. We hope to see you there!

Margaret River Wines LLC is pleased to donate wines for the “Guys and Dolls” fundraiser dinner for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Charlotte, NC, to be held Saturday February 16, 2008 at the Hilton Hotel in Charlotte NC. We are providing a selection of our finest wines – Vasse River Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, Vasse River Chardonnay, and Wills Domain Cabernet Sauvignon – for the dinner. We hope that all of the guests enjoy them!

If you are close to the Dalton, GA area just north of Atlanta, join us at Planet of the Grapes Wine Bar & Shop on Saturday evening, January 26, 2008, for a tasting of many of our great Margaret River wines. They will be pouring wines from our Wills Domain, Beach Head, Tuart Street and Vasse River brands. This is a wonderful wine shop, and we hope to see you there that evening to enjoy our fine wines.

We are pleased to announce the launch of our Beach Head and Vasse River wines in the Houston and Texas markets in January. Several events are planned which will feature these fine wines.
Wednesday, January 30, 2008 – Western Australia Tourism Food & Wine Promotion at the Bering & James Art Gallery in Houston. The Trade is welcome from 2 – 4 p.m., and the Public from 6 – 9 p.m. We will be pouring both brands for your enjoyment.
Friday, February 1, 208 – Australia Day Gala Dinner at the Intercontinental Hotel, 2222 W. Loop-South, Houston. This is a black tie dinner that will feature our Vasse River 2004 Cab Merlot as one of the wines that evening.
Saturday, January 26, 2008 – Our wines may also be available at the Australia Day BBQ at the Booker Lowe Gallery from 5 – 10 p.m.

We will be pouring our Beach Head and Vasse River wines at the 3rd Annual Savor Dallas festival in Dallas, TX, on March 7 & 8, 2008. More details will be posted in February. Plan on joining us for some great wines.
