MRW is pleased to announce the upcoming visit of Ms. Sharna Kowalczuk, winemaker for our Vasse River and Beach Head wines. Sharna will be hosting a number of wine dinners and tasting events for her wines in Georgia, Chicago IL and Madison WI in late October. If you would like to join us for one of these dinners, email us through the website and we will send you the information on a dinner near you.

We are pleased to announce that we have new inventory of our Woody Nook Shiraz, the 2004 vintage, now in stock. This wine is wonderful, and has received a 90 from Wine Enthusiast and a 90 from Ray Jordan in Western Australia. Look for it in the local Charlotte NC region, and at The Nittany Lion Inn in State College, PA.

MRW is honored to have nine of its fine wines available at the Nittany Lion Inn in State College, PA, the home of Penn State University. The owner of MRW is a PSU grad, and we are happy to share our wines with everyone in Happy Valley! Ask for wines from Margaret River if you dine there this Fall, they have a great selection to choose from - Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cab Merlot, Ornatus red, Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay (both oaked and unoaked styles). And it has just been announced that our Wills Domain Winery has been selected as “Winery of the Month” by the Nittany Lion Inn.

In the local Charlotte NC area where MRW is based, you can find our Beach Head wines at many of the Harris Teeter Fine Wine Shops. We have many tastings at these stores on the weekends, so come join us for one sometime soon. Ask for Beach Head wines at Harris Teeter, they are usually on the top shelf of the Australian section. Our Beach Head 2002 Shiraz is featured in the current issue of Harris Teeter’s “The Grapevine” newsletter.

MRW was pleased to have four of our wineries host a contingent of USA wine visitors at a lovely dinner in Margaret River on Friday, September 5. The guests enjoyed meeting the owners and winemakers from Vasse River/Beach Head, Woody Nook, Merops and Wills Domain wineries. A good time was had by all based on the feedback from the group.

MRW is streamlining its brands and wines to provide our customers with better focus, support, and availability going forward. We want to bring you the very best wines in terms of quality and value, and can better provide these to our customers by reducing the number of wines and brands that we actively carry. Effective immediately we will no longer be offering wines from Edwards, Driftwood Estates or Tuart Street.
Our portfolio now consists of great wines from Vasse River, Beach Head, Woody Nook, Merops and Wills Domain. We will also be adding a great Margaret River Riesling from a new winery later this year, to complete our active range. These brands provide excellent value across many retail price points. We look forward to serving our customers with these great brands and wines in the future.

Thanks to everyone in Houston and Austin Texas the past few weeks! We enjoyed pouring our Vasse River and Beach Head wines for you, especially at the SXSW Music Festival’s Aussie BBQ on March 14 in Austin. In early May we will have our true-blood Aussie David Lands visiting our customers in Texas, to share some more of these great wines with you.

Join us on April 30 in Bowdoinham, Maine, to taste through our Vasse River and Wills Domain wines near Portland. We will be participating in the day-long presentation of wines at the DaVine Wine Selections offices there. This is a great chance for retailers and restaurants in the Portland ME area to try our great wines. We hope to see you there!
