Carbunup Estate Wines is located in the Vasse-Carbunup area, a northern part of the Margaret River region. The first vine plantings were established in 1988 in rich gravely loam soils, producing fruit of exceptional quality. The winery produces both the Vasse River and Beach Head wines that complement any meal or special occasion.
Their wines may be found in fine restaurants and wine shops.
Premium Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes picked from the oldest blocks in the vineyard, these 18 year old vines have produced a wine of intense color, flavor and aromas. The Merlot grape softens the tannins and adds good balance to the wine and exhibits an overall finish of refinement and richness to this full bodied wine. Our French Oak barrels make this an excellent wine to accompany any main course meal or a good cheese dish.
A Shiraz of notable quality, 2002 exhibits licorice and vanilla bean characters. A medium to full bodied wine, the Shiraz grapes of 2002 were picked ripe with intense color, soft tannins and extreme flavors. Good length and a clean finish, the American Oak used to enhance the Shiraz makes it an ideal wine to serve with red meats or cheese dishes.
A vibrant clear outrageous pink, made from an Italian grape variety “Fragola”, Sunset exhibits strawberry fruit characters with a spritzy crisp finish. Best served chilled with a Thai green curry, fruit, or a lovely cheese platter.
2006 Beach Head Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 12.0% Alcohol
